Ava Jackman on Australia Day in an Aussie icon - RM Williams boots (AKA another gratuitous Hugh Jackman moment...)

Wishing he stilled called Australia home at the moment, a very rugged up Hugh Jackman and daughter Ava braved the New York winter on Australia's national day, Monday 26th January. Ava is wearing a Juicy Couture tracksuit & trademark Aussie footwear - the original RM Williams Children's Pony Club Boots.

Here she is! Half of the power Jolie-Pitt twins, and every bit the Shiloh look-a-like, gorgeous little Vivienne Marcheline, snuggled up to mummy, actress Angelina Jolie coming through the airport in Japan yesterday. The preferred carrier of the celebrity couple is the Baby Bjorn Baby Carrier Original Spirit. Ange has the Black Diamond colourway, Brad has the Chocolate Brown. How cute is little Knox Leon in a hat matching his handsome daddy?

So excited to finally see the little cherubs - we haven't seen them since they were born in July. And how fast are the other kids growing up? Look how long Shiloh's hair is. We can't wait to see alot more of the Brangelina kids..

Having shown us her first Juicy Couture jacket only a few days ago, Coco Arquette, daughter of actors Courtney Cox-Arquette & David Arquette, stepped out in another Juicy Couture jacket - the Fur Trimmed Puffer Jacket - with it's cute ruffle front and faux fur hoodie. Cute Toys by Les Deglingos at FAO Schwarz Las Vegas

Looking for something unique for Lulu for her 2nd birthday next month, my husband and I came across this gorgeous range of soft toys in the HUGE FAO Schwarz toy store in the Forum Shopping Centre at Caesar's Palace, Las Vegas. Meet Pikos the Hedgehog by Deglingos. Deglingos is loosely translated to be a unique species of contagiously quirky animals. Check out the entire range available at FAO Schwarz. It was a no brainer for me - when I walked past the entire range, it was Pikos and his pink button nose that jumped out at me as if to say "pick me, pick me!". So cute : )

Disney's High School Musical - Live on Stage!

Today I took Gigi to the final performance of High School Musical - Live on Stage at the Capitol Theatre in Sydney. When I was in the US earlier this month, Gigi subjected my sister to watching High School Musical (the movie version) over 30+ times so I knew she would love the show but admittedly, I have never seen it myself. Not wanting to venture out of my air conditioning in the 43 degree Celsius heat yesterday, I sat through High School Musical Part 1 & 2 with Gigi and Lulu and I was pleasantly surprised - they are fun family movies. In the great tradition of Disney, I was happy that Gigi and Lulu could watch some good wholesome entertainment and hence was looking forward to the live version today. I was not disappointed - it was fantastic. It was the final show in Sydney before they move around Australia so if they come to a city near you, I would definitely recommend you go. For me, it was a 21st century re-vamp of Grease (I know, showing my age) but for Gigi it was just great dancing and singing and we had a lovely afternoon. Go Wildcats!

Matilda Ledger - one year on from the passing of her father, Australian actor Heath Ledger

On my recent trip to the US, I bought Lulu these cute little red flower sunglasses from Gymboree. They reminded me of the ones worn by Matilda Ledger in one of the last photos taken with her father, the late actor Heath Ledger, who coincidentally passed away one year ago today. Oscar nominations will be announced in about an hours time and Heath appears to be a certainty for a posthumous nomination for his wonderful performance in The Dark Knight. Over the past year we have watched Matilda out and about with her mummy, actress Michelle Williams and we have blogged about her style. We particularly love her hats and overcoats, perfect for the cold winter conditions in her home town of New York City (please take note TomKat!). Our thoughts and prayers are with Matilda and her family on this anniversary of Heath's untimely passing
UPDATE: This morning Heath was indeed nominated for an Academy Award for his performance in The Dark Knight. He is surely the sentimental favourite, despite the fact that without a doubt he gave an outstanding performance. We are keeping our fingers and toes crossed for his family, and particularly little Matilda Rose

First Daughters Fashion - Malia & Sasha Obama at their father's Presidential Inauguration in JCrew Crew Cuts Wool Coats

Looking every bit as stylish as their mother, First Lady Michelle Obama, 10 year old Malia & 7 year old Sasha Obama wore specially designed woollen coats by J Crew to their father's inauguration ceremony as the 44th President of the United States of America. Both the coats will be available in the J Crew CrewCuts fall 2009 line, along with the wool pique Herbie coats they wore on Sunday to the "We Are One" Inaugural Celebration at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C.

Gigi & Lulu at the Sydney Opera House in Biscotti

Just before Christmas I took Gigi & Lulu to the Sydney Opera House for a performance of I Wanna Be A Mermaid by fantastic ensemble musical group, Coco's Lunch. The girls had a great time - they even got to sample some of the percussion instruments with the cast following the performance. It was also a time to reflect on the death of the visionary architect who designed the Sydney Opera House, Jorn Utzon, who had passed away only a few weeks earlier. Gigi is shown above signing the tribute book which is to be sent to his family in Denmark. On a fashion note, Gigi is wearing a beautiful little dress by Biscotti, a label favoured by the new first family of the USA. Lulu is wearing a hand made, smocked dress given to us by a lovely elderly friend of my family. Don't they both look adorable : )

Gorgeous knits by La Folie - favoured by Courtney Cox Arquette & Gwyneth Paltrow

Whilst in the States last week I came across this gorgeous knitwear label called La Folie. Favoured by such celebrity mums as Courtney Cox Arquette & Gwyneth Paltrow, the label consists of funky woollen hats, scarves, jumpers (sorry, sweaters for our northern hemisphere friends) and gloves and mittens. Literally, La Folie translates to "madness" in English and these cute styles are certainly mad in a Cirque Du Soliel kinda way. I love them!

Wearing gorgeous wool pique Herbie coats to the "We Are One" Inaugural Celebration at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C., Malia & Sasha Obama showed their support for their father, US President Elect Barack Obama despite the chilly conditions. Sasha's coat is off white with brass buttons & Malia's coat is in dove grey with horn buttons. We can't wait to see what they wear on Wednesday to their father's inauguration..

Her jacket looks suspiciously like the one worn by Nahla Ariela Aubry the nearly one year old daughter of actress Halle Berry, (and also worn by our Lulu) back in November

Violet Affleck is a cute BIG SIS

Congratulations to Ben Affleck & Jennifer Garner, and of course, "Big Sister" Violet Anne, on the birth of baby Seraphina Rose Elizabeth on January 6th, 2009. Violet wanted everyone at pre-school to know she is now a big sister so she wore her feelings on her chest in this cute PlutoKids Tee, available in their Etsy store. On top she wears the Striped French Terry Hoodie from Splendid Littles. When Lulu was born, we received a gorgeous baby basket from BabyBoxes in which there was a little vest that read "Little Sis" which I thought was just adorable. Maybe if we decide to go for one more child, I will need two of these t-shirts that Violet is wearing for my little Gigi & Lulu...
