As a mother, it is heart breaking to think that little girl will grow up without her father, especially one that had so much of life left to experience, but having said that, Matilda always appears to be a happy little girl and we will continue to follow her life and baby style as she grows into a beautiful young woman

kids inSTYLE - Trade Show - Sydney Feb 19-23rd - Royal Hall of Industries & Hordern Pavilion, Entertainment Quarter

Yesterday I experienced my first kids inSTYLE trade show in Sydney and I must say, it was a great event and I met alot of fantastic people with some beautiful, beautiful fashions and accessories that I can't wait to tell you all about in future posts. It was also nice to meet some of the people whom I have blogged about in the past face to face. For example, Vanessa from Gelati Art - you may recall I bought the ballerina slippers canvas for Lulu back in September. Vanessa has some gorgeous new designs which I am very excited to be able to tell you all about in coming weeks. It was also great to get up close and personal with the Serena & Lily Baby Market Sling that I also blogged about in September. You remember the one - Nicole Kidman had Sunday Rose snuggled up in it. Can I just say, the photos don't do it any justice - it is so soft & pretty, I would definitely want one for my next baby. The kids inSTYLE trade show is a part of the LIFE inSTYLE event and is on in Sydney until Monday 23rd February, after which it will move to Melbourne in July 2009

Recycled Rock Star Baby! Harlow loves her Amber Hagen trackie dacks and hoodie

Back in December we saw gorgeous little Harlow Winter Kate Madden snuggled up with mummy Nicole Ritchie in a two tone cotton cashmere tracksuit by Amber Hagen. True to her heritage (daddy Joel Madden is lead singer of Good Charlotte) she "rocked" her baby style once more, stepping out in the same tracksuit in New York for her first Fashion Week experience. Wearing the same outfit twice usually means celebrity social suicide but how can we be so critical of one so cute?

A gentle reminder to Katie (we love you by the way!) - you have taken Suri to Disney World, you have had a lovely family holiday in Brazil, you have recently wrapped your awesome run on Broadway, you have attended many Valkyrie premieres around the globe with that gorgeous hubby of yours and if the gossip columns are right, you may have even found the time to make a baby brother or sister for Suri. But please find the time to get our favourite little fashionista's fringe/bangs cut. That face is too pretty to hide behind a wayward fringe. Unless of course she is growing them out, for which may I suggest some cute headbands or clips ; )

Dannielynn Birkhead back in the news AGAIN - but this time for all the right reasons and a wonderful cause..

Larry Birkhead is at it again..and no, I don't mean fighting over his gorgeous little girl with Howard E Stern. He is once again auctioning off his daughter Dannilynn's baby clothing and accessories, on ebay, with all proceeds going to US charity, Camp Kindle. You may remember my post back in November when Larry first made this generous gesture to help improve the quality of life for the children infected or affected by HIV / AIDS, which is the main purpose of the fund raising by Camp Kindle. Once again, Larry has stepped up and shown that, like him or loathe him for all the publicity he has generated around his and the late Anna Nicole Smith's beautiful little girl, he appears to be a stand up guy, and from all accounts, a great father to his little princess

Kaiya Eve Pettiskirts - add to my Gigi & Lulu favourites!

I have posted before about Gigi's love of dancing & tutus and when I came across the Kaiya Eve Pettiskirt in Baby Pink or Rainbow and matching Kaiya Eve Ruffle Fluff Top in Baby Pink I had to tell you all about it. Although the top reminds me of a dress my Nonna made for her toilet roll dolly, it is gorgeous none the less. The pettiskirts are so full and fun that I can't help but think if I bought two of these, I would never get them off Gigi & Lulu. If you are stuck for a birthday gift, a pettiskirt is a great idea for a present for any little girl. After all who doesn't like dressing up and looking like a fairy princess..

Ruby Sweetheart Maguire in Harajuku Lovers Hoodie - Kawaii! (that's "cute" in Japanese)

I loved the little hoodie worn by Baby Spidergirl, Ruby Sweetheart Maguire, who was seen out in LA with her daddy, actor Tobey Maguire during the week. I instantly recognised the Harajuku girls and knew it was one of Gwen Stefani's Harajuku Lovers designs. I bought two of her bags when I was in the US in early January and they make great nappy bags. So thanks to our friends at Baby Chic, we have tracked down where to get this gorgeous hoodie - it is the Harajuku Snowbunnies Hoody - so cute ; )

Victorian Bushfire Appeal - Australian Red Cross

I cannot let the recent bushfire tragedy in country Victoria, Australia, go without mention, despite my blog being far from related to the horrific events of the past week down there. Whilst I am blogging about material things for your little princess, some families have lost everything, including their lives and I appeal to anyone who has the means, please give generously to the Australian Red Cross Victorian Bushfire Appeal. We hear in the news stories of children wearing the same set of clothes for a few days, sleeping in cars because their family has lost their home and sadly, some children have been orphaned as their parents lost their lives battling to save their properties. It is both the worst natural disaster in Australian history and some would argue one of the worst acts of terrorism you can imagine as it has been revealed that arsonists were responsible for some of the deliberately lit fires. I cannot comprehend how someone could do something so cruel & heinous, but then no one would ever had thought anyone would deliberately fly a passenger plane into a 110 storey city building either. It is sometimes a sad world that we live in but we can get comfort from some of the miracle stories that are emerging out of the tragedy and even if you can spare just $20, that would pay for a packet of nappies for a baby or even a tin of baby formula. Australians are tough cookies, and we will get through this but please, if you can spare a few bucks, please go to www.redcross.org.au and make a donation

Kushies Zolo Toys Stacrobats - Gigi & Lulu love them!

This is a really cute toy that will bring enjoyment to all ages - Lulu actually received it for a first birthday present but Gigi plays with it alot too. The little Kushies Stacrobats attach magnetically to the circus stage base and then they all interconnect magnetically as well. There are many different combinations to join them all together and I have watched my girls sit and make several combinations as they play happily together. I would also recommend this toy for it's hand/eye coordination and dexterity benefits to your little princess

Missoni Puffa Coat with signature zig zag detail - a must for your little freezing fashionista

I have always loved the abstract colour combinations & amazing geometric prints that Missoni is renowned for. Zig zag is a hard print to wear at the best of times, however the Missoni family always manages to design flattering collections in the most beautiful fabrics. I also love smocking, especially on little girls dresses and shirts so when I came across this girls Missoni Puffa Coat, I instantly fell in love with the zig zag stitching and hot pink colour. I HEART J Crew crewcuts Spring/Summer 2009

In the days following the US Presidential Inauguration, the JCrew website crashed. Why? Because once it was revealed that the First Children, Malia & Sasha Obama were dressed in JCrew, everyone wanted a coat just like the ones worn by the sisters. After looking over their newly released Spring/Summer 2009 line, I can find several other reasons to dress my princesses in JCrew.
