Suri HEARTS Australian fashion

I apologise for the minimal posting of late - I am finally back online tonight as we have just moved to our beautiful new farm and I have spent the last week packing and unpacking boxes, cleaning the new house, organising tradesmen and adjusting the girls to their new schedule. It is safe to say we all love it out here - it is so peaceful and pretty. It sounds so cliched but we are awoken every morning by a family of kookaburras - so very Australian! Speaking of all things Australian, I have been catching up on all things Suri from my friend Vania's website Suri Cruise Italia and it appears that Katie & Suri spent alot of time during their stay here in Australia shopping up big with some of our wonderful local children's labels. This week in Boston Suri has been seen in seed (of which the Cruise's are big fans, having several pieces from their collection), Polka (I love all their prints!) & Mini Metalicus (who have a fabulous women's label as well). So...Suri & Katie Cruise are fans of gigi+lulu and took my advice...

Sitting at my desk on a warm Friday night in Sydney, Australia, I posted my number 6 Christmas Little Red Dress from Janie & Jack's Uptown Holiday Collection. It was Dec 6 here, yet still early morning on Dec 5 over in the Big Apple. Picture this - Katie & Suri are doing some online shopping over brekkie, looking up their favourite blog for little princesses (yes, that's me!), saw my number 6 Christmas Little Red Dress recommendation and Katie was straight on the phone to Tom - "honey, do me a favourite and please pop out to get Suri the Janie & Jack Hand Smocked Bullion Silk Dress in red - we MUST get this dress for Suri because gigi+lulu recommended it and Suri wants to wear it tomorrow.."

OK, so it most likely did not play out that way but I am very excited to see Suri in this dress the day after I talked about it, as it is divine. With thanks to our friends at Suri Cruise Italia, the Rosette Coat is from an earlier Janie & Jack Holiday Classics 07 collection and the gorgeous faux patent leather Bella ballet flats in Candy Red are from US department store, Nordstrom. I am now off to find my number 10 Christmas Little Red Dress...hmmm, now what would Suri like this time..

Happy 3rd Birthday little Miss Suri Cruise!

Tomorrow our favourite little fashionista is turning 3! How fast time flies! We have seen Suri jetset around the world on numerous overseas adventures with her superstar parents - Katie Holmes & Tom Cruise - and fell in love with her countless fabulous baby fashions and accessories. According to People Magazine, Suri had an early birthday party yesterday, with a few family and friends present, and it was a Disney Princess theme complete with Belle from Beauty & the Beast cake and treasure hunt.
We are certainly looking forward to Suri's 4th year - can't wait to see what little Suri will be wearing for the rest of 2009/2010
UPDATE: Suri wore a delightful red and white spotted dress for her private party that was unfortunately filmed illegally by papps in a helicopter. Along with my friend Vania at Suri Cruise Italia, I am declining from posting these photos since I believe they are an invasion of privacy, especially since Tom & Katie had to call the police. I will wait patiently in the hope that Tom & Katie might release some photos for all their fans and when that happens, I will be happy to share them

NEW DETAILS! - Suri makes a splash at the Melbourne Aquarium and gets some new frocks from Big by Fiona Scanlan

Enjoying an impromptu trip to the Melbourne Aquarium, Suri Cruise held on to her daddy as a local mum took this tourist snap, beating the paparazzi to the punch! There were also reports that Suri and Tom went on a shopping trip without Katie this afternoon and bought a slow cooker at the Myer department store. I hope Tom bought Suri some gorgeous dresses by some of our fantastic local designers...watch this space : )
UPDATE - 3rd July 2009 - not only did Suri go to the aquarium, she took in a tree kangaroo at the zoo and on their shopping trip, daddy bought his little girl a toy kangaroo AND....wait for it..."two sequinned frocks". Maybe Suri will wear one out to dinner tonight to celebrate daddy's 47th birthday - Happy Birthday Tom!
UPDATE #2 - (Thanks Vania x ) - the dresses Tom bought were from the Big by Fiona Scanlan range, which we have talked about a few times in the past. Could it have been the Sequin 20's Dress? Or maybe the gorgeous set of the Show Girl Skirt & Winged Long Sleeve Top. We can SO see Suri wearing these outfits : )

Yet again our favourite little fashionista Suri Cruise was dressed to the nines yesterday in New York. Daddy Tom Cruise was nowhere in sight but Suri & mummy Katie Holmes wore matching silver shoes, Suri in her favourite Bonpoint Ballerina leather flats (minus the ankle strap). Suri's gorgeous scalloped trim placket coat is from Best & Co and her dress is another Janie & Jack delight - their Hand Smocked Plaid Silk Dress. Out with Mummy, Katie Holmes at the Rockefeller Centre in NYC yesterday, little Suri Cruise was clearly thrilled to see the Christmas lights. We were there this time last year and it is truly a beautiful (albeit cold) time of year to visit New York. We mentioned that Suri might be interested in a Burberry poncho in an earlier post and she must have taken notes - here she wears their Fur Trimmed Parka, along with the beautiful Bonpoint Brown Check Dress. It's a Baby Gap Bonanza week for Suri Cruise!

Suri Cruise was first seen in this Baby Gap Sunset Collection Plaid Halter Dress at a dance studio in Los Angeles on June 13

A couple of days later, Suri wore another Baby Gap dress - this time the Bold Flower Party Dress in Whale colourway. Though she is not wearing them, one of the ladies in her entourage carries the crewcuts Girls' Salina Safari Patent Leather Ballet Flats that Suri first wore in Japan in March

Petite Suri in Petite Maloles & Petite Gap

Like most 3 year olds, Suri obviously loves chocolate! A chocolate croissant that is, fitting since she is wearing some very chic ballerina flats by French label Maloles - the Zoe Ballerina style from the Petite Maloles line (thanks Vania at Suri Cruise Italia, and BTW, Happy Birthday for yesterday!). Suri is also wearing the Baby Gap Asymmetrical Ruffle Dress in Orange, from their Sunset Collection. It also comes in this gorgeous Brown floral print which we love more!

Another gorgeous red dress - Janie & Jack - but what about a hair cut Suri?

My girls just love going out for ice cream with their daddy. So too, does little Suri who was spotted with her superstar daddy Tom Cruise in the East Village NYC on Saturday at Sunday's & Cones. Suri is wearing another pretty Janie & Jack dress from last season. We found a similar one we like from their current Uptown Holiday Collection. I am all for quality time with daddy but Tom, maybe take Suri for a fringe cut (or for our US readers, a trim to her bangs)? Too pretty a little face to hide behind : )

No Suri sighting in Melbourne but we share a love of Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons

I have had a lovely weekend in Melbourne with my husband, allowing Gigi & Lulu some time with their grandparents and aunty. We went to see Jersey Boys on Saturday night and all I can say is :

OH WHAT A NIGHT!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons (almost as much as I love red shoes!) and the show did not disappoint, in fact it was outstanding.

On high rotation on my Ipod and in the car, I picked up the Jersey Kids CD for my girls to sing along to - it is a sweet instrumental of the most popular songs especially for little Four Seasons groupies.

When we got back I went to the Jersey Boys blog to have a read through and look who I found is also a fan...our favourite little celebrity princess Suri, who was given a copy of the CD by Bailee Madison, Katie's co-star in the movie she is making here in Australia. Being in the same city as Suri was exciting, though I doubted I would bump into her (or her daddy who flew into town the same day we did). So though there was no Suri sighting to report, I did have a lovely weekend (took in Sydney Swan Michael O'Loughlin's 300th AFL game at the MCG as well which was great), and look forward to finding more beautiful little girls things to share with you all : )

Suri Builds a Bear

Cute little Suri Cruise, accompanied by daddy Tom, had a great time on Saturday night in New York at the Build a Bear Workshop. We took Gigi when she was a baby to personalise a bear that said "I love Gigi" but we have yet to take Lulu to make hers - slack mummy & daddy! Maybe Santa might help us out in that department. It is also a fun place to go with the kids for a birthday party - all the children get to take home their own bear which is a nice memento from the party - better than a bag full of lollies. The answer to my question..will we see Suri in Crocs?

OK, so Suri Cruise was the first toddler to have her own Armani private collection of baby garments but now it appears she can add Roger Vivier shoes to it as well. Stepping out, no pun intended, with mum Katie Holmes in New York this week, you can clearly see the "RV" heel etching, the red patent ballerina flats with buckle an exact replica of a pair of the iconic Pilgrim pumps her mummy has in her own shoe collection. And I must also make mention of mummy's Vivier sunglasses and handbag in the photograph as well - to die for! It helps to have friends in the industry - Bruno Frisoni, the creative director of Roger Vivier is apparently a pal of Tom & Katie - however the luxury label says there are no plans for a children's spin off in the future - unfortunately for us, this pair is a one-off. Lucky for little Suri, to have such gorgeous shoes. I showed Gigi the photo and though she agreed that they are pretty shoes, she told me she loves her purple ballerina flats much better. As for Lulu, well we all know which shoes she would prefer...yeah, the pair that rhymes with "socks", that we will probably never see Suri in.....ever..

Suri gets a hair cut...and how cute does she look ; )

Yay, Suri got her hair cut - doesn't she look sweet with her little bob cut just like mummy! She is wearing the same cute little dress she wore to a park back in August. But aren't you cold, Suri? I was in NYC this time last year and all four of us were in three layers when we set foot outside our apartment. If I was Suri's stylist, I have two suggestions...the Bonpoint Bellissimo Brown Coat and the Burberry Fringe Poncho & Check Rain Coat...divine!

The Nanny Diaries - big girl Suri steps out without Mummy or Daddy in JCrew

Can you believe little Suri Cruise will be 4 on Sunday? She looks all grown up on an outing with her nanny (no sign of Mummy Holmes or Daddy Cruise) in NYC earlier this week. Wearing two cute clips in her now very long hair and black ballet flats with socks, Suri is wearing a pretty little JCrew crewcuts Cozy Cotton Tunic Dress in Bright Coral and she is clutching a Webkinz Virtual Velvety Elephant Pet Plush toy - isn't he cute? For one of Katie Holmes' last performances on Broadway, daughter Suri Cruise looked gorgeous in her Ralph Lauren Corduroy Dress & Janie & Jack Rosette Coat which I blogged about in December. Now that Katie has finished her run in My Three Sons, whatever will we do without our usually daily Suri sighting? Daddy Tom has a new movie to promote - I am sure we have not seen the last of Suri for a while...

Suri Watch Down Under! The Cruises arrive in Australia

Here is our first glimpse of Suri on Australian soil - she touched down with her parents at Essendon Airport in Melbourne and it has been reported the family is staying at pal James Packer's penthouse at Crown Towers. We can't wait to see Suri out and about with her mummy & daddy and hopefully in some Australian designer children's labels. Katie is filming a movie here in Australia so hopefully we will see alot of Suri during their stay : )
