Even though we secretly hoped for a little princess to fill the pages of our blog in the years ahead, we couldn't resist and think the new little prince is just gorgeous, don't you? x Congratulations to the first time parents x

Funky Little Feet - A Week in Beautiful Shoes

While surfing around the web looking for more gorgeous items for Gigi & Lulu (more specifically, a little present for each of them from their new baby brother or sister), I have encountered some of the most beautiful little summer shoes for little princesses. It is winter here in the southern hemisphere so we are rarely out of our ugg boots or sneakers but if I close my eyes and imagine we are on the beach in Hawaii or on the sand in Santorini, here are three little pairs of sandals that would go with Gigi & Lulu's summer sarongs:

HOT OFF THE PRESS!: The Last Airbender by Stride Rite Collection

Along with other celebrity mums like Tori Spelling, Katherine Heigl, Isla Fisher & Salma Hayek, I am a big fan of Stride Rite shoes for little girls. Stride Rite have just launched a new collection - The Last Airbender - which was inspired by the movie of the same name, out today, written and directed by M Night Shyamalan, and based on the hugely successful Nickelodeon animated television series. Featuring three sneakers and a really cute mocassin boot, they are based on the three main characters in the movie - Aang & Zuko (boys collection) & Katara (girls sneaker & boot), and the related elements of "earth, wind, fire & air". Funky Little Feet - Naleigh Kelley Strides Rite to the top of the baby fashionista list

Isn't she adorable! Baby Naleigh Kelley, daughter of actress Katherine Heigl and singer Josh Kelley was wearing the Stride Rite SRT Carly leather and suede shoes whilst on a play date in a park in LA earlier this year. Stride Rite make gorgeous baby shoes - Tori Spelling and Salma Hayek are fans for their gorgeous little girls Stella & Valentina and we just love them too

As we are coming into our southern hemisphere winter, I couldn't resist showing this gorgeous Baby Gap Cargo Parka in Cactus colourway, as seen on Honor Marie Warren back in January. Teamed with jeans and her favourite Sweet Shoe's Sweet Jane's in Metallic Silver, along with her yummy mummy Jessica Alba, isn't she delightful!

We love Harlow Winter Kate Madden and she looks as adorable as ever in her tutu and baby ballet shoes while out in LA with her mummy, Nicole Ritchie. Though it's been a rough time for her family the past few months, you must give credit to Elin Nordegren for keeping her kids looking so gorgeous! We have seen beautiful little Sam Woods, her daughter with golf superstar hubby Tiger Woods, wearing some funky little footwear, my faves being the Nike Sensory Motion Peanut Girls Shoe and the Baby Gap Furry Pom Pom Boots. The red sweater dress Sam is wearing with the boots is by Hanna Andersson - kudos to Elin for supporting a label inspired by her own country of heritage. I'm BBBAAAACCCKKKKK!!

Hello again everyone! Following my big announcement in January, I have been so busy preparing for the new baby, as well as doing the run around now that Gigi has started "big" school and Lulu has started ballet, and I do apologise for my self imposed little hiatus from my blog. Having said that, I have still been closely following all our favourite little celebrity princesses and the new trends in fashion, accessories, nursery furniture, maternity wear (ESPECIALLY maternity wear!) for 2010 and I look forward to getting back on track with things, starting today!

Mommy's High Heel Shoes - what a great idea for a book and inspiration for my new weekly shoe feature..watch this space

A friend of mine sent me the link to this book - it's called Mommy's High Heel Shoes. The illustrations are just delightful and I am thinking about getting a copy for Gigi for Christmas. It has also inspired me to start up a new weekly roundup of celebrity baby shoes which will also feature some fantastic children's footwear designers from around the world. I have lots of shoe featured blogs in the "Funky Little Feet" category, including some pretty Australian designs worn by Suri Cruise in her stay here in Australia. Suri Cruise - putting her best foot forward - a week in shoes

UPDATE: Thanks Stardust, the pink ballet flats are actually from Seed and not Monsoon as I mentioned previously - Katie Holmes is a fan of Seed, having shopped up a storm in the Australian boutique this week so no doubt we will see Suri wearing some more of their collection during her stay here in Australia. I am a big fan of Seed and Stardust, though I agree they are a very close match for the Monsoon pair, in fashion there are, and will always be designs with similar styles and construction and Seed wouldn't be the first label to be accused of having something similar to another label. Shiloh Jolie-Pitt rocks her camouflage pants - American Eagle 77 Kids

Possibly a hand-me-down from big brothers Maddox or Pax, Shiloh Joile-Pitt looks uber-cute in her camos - we found a pair at American Eagle 77 Kids - the belted camo cargo pants. Looks like older sister Zahara, also seen here on a shopping trip with yummy mummy Angelina Jolie, is wearing black Havianas with her black jeans - super cute sisters : )

Junk Food Puppy Love Tee & Trumpette Baby Tracks - Honor Warren is pretty in purple at the Griddle Cafe

Jessica Alba is obviously a big fan of the Trumpette line of baby shoes and accessories - her beautiful daughter Honor Marie has worn both the Pixie & Ballerina sockettes as well as the the Trumpette Rosies. This week whilst out at the Griddle Cafe in LA, Honor Marie was wearing the Trumpette Baby Tracks in Silver/Pink. We also love her Charlie Brown t-shirt - it is from Junk Food - The Snoopy Puppy Love Tee. It is just as cute as the Mini Fine Peanuts Balloon Tee that Violet Affleck was wearing back in March

Nahla Aubry is Miss Missoni

What a delightful little dress - one of the cutest we have seen in a long time. And such pretty colours which compliment Nahla Aubry's complexion perfectly. Clone Zone #2 - A lovely red party dress fit for a Cruisey little celebrity princess - can you guess who?

When Suri went to see Jersey Boys in Melbourne a couple of weeks ago, she was wearing a lovely red party dress with her JCrew animal print ballet flats . Though not sure of the actual origin of Suri's dress (Vania, maybe you can help me), I have found a similar style on the My Little Pockets website - called the Le Pink Fall Holiday Dress. Can you see the similarities in the beading? You know me, I just LOVE red anything!

Stella McDermott in Halabaloo Butterfly Eyelet Dress

Back in June we featured some gorgeous Baby Bloch Duo Slippers, worn by Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott's little princess Stella. What we didn't tell you about was the delightful little dress she was wearing - it is the Halabaloo Butterfly Eyelet Dress - even more 9012 - 0 - so - cute!

Who loves you pretty baby? Suri goes to see "Jersey Boys" in Melbourne, Australia

Wearing her cute animal print ballet flats by JCrew Crewcuts, which she has worn a few times in recent months, delightful little Suri accompanied mummy & daddy to see the Melbourne production of the Jersey Boys last night. Suri was also wearing another gorgeous little red jewelled dress (watch this space for details). My husband and I are going to see the show later in the year since we didn't get the chance in Las Vegas in January and we can't wait. Maybe when Katie catches up with my blog, she might leave me a review in the comments section : )
PS: That was one lovely big woolie jacket you had on Katie - we know it is very cold in Melbourne this time of year but are you hiding something under there? A little baby bump maybe? We hope so ; )

Introducing - Mercy James in Baby Gap

Here she is - introducing Mercy James - the newly adopted daughter of superstar singer Madonna. Little sister of Lourdes, Rocco & David. We are loving the Baby Gap Printed Maxi Dress in Milk. Though we can't tell from this picture, the shoes Mercy is wearing look very much like the Venettini Rory Sandal in White.We look forward forward to seeing more of little Mercy's celebrity baby style : )

Stella McDermott in her sweet Sweet Shoes

At her ladybug themed first birthday party, Stella McDermott, baby daughter of Tori Spelling & Dean McDermott, was wearing a gorgeous pair of red shoes (and we all know how much I LOVE red shoes). These little beauties are by Sweet Shoes, this style being their Sweet Janes Metallic style in Red. According to the Sweet Shoes blog, Stella has these shoes in Silver as well and has worn them on her parents reality show (which I haven't seen here in Australia as yet).
