It's here! My beautiful and talented friend Claudia Chabo has finally launched her kids swimwear range - Teenie Bikini - and it is just divine! Having worked in the industry for over 20 years, Claudia has two other labels in her portfolio, ccjuis (swimwear & streetwear) & Pink Bandit (intimates/lingerie). Claudia was a finalist on Project Runway Australia Season 2 and she is a very dear friend of mine.
Her little girls swimwear is age appropriate and on trend, and she has made them with the same fashionable appeal as her women's line, so they stand out from other bikinis on the market for this age demographic. My favourite bikini is the ruffle bound fixed triangle - seen above in the natural colourway with the umbrella prop. It has a very unique crossover strap which holds the little triangle in place, avoiding wardrobe malfunctions that I hate to see on little girls at the beach. It is discreet and tasteful and the colour choices available are beautiful - the photos don't do them any justice.
And my extra special reason for posting this entry - besides the fact the swimwear is awesome!.....my little Gigi is the beautiful little model - hasn't she done a great job!

Butternut Rudolph Cookies!

Ingredients:

1 x Packet of Arnott's Butternut Cookies

1/3 Cup of Cream

200g of milk or dark chocolate melts (I used cooking chocolate)

65g Unsalted Butter

1 x Packet of Jaffas

1 x Packet of Marshmallows (preferably white)

1 x Tube of White Frosting Gel

1 x Tube of Black Frosting Gel

1 x Packet of Mini Parkers Pretzels (Shapes)

1 x Packet of Silver Foiled Muffin or Large Cupcake Patty Pans

Step #1 - The Cookie Cups

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Place the cookies over the holes of a mini muffin tin/rubber tray
Stick in the oven for 3 minutes until cookies soften
Remove and gently (they split really easily!) mould the softened bikkies into the holes, forming a cup shape
Allow to cool a little then transfer to a tray (I did these the day before so they were fully set the next day)

Step #2 - The Yummy Chocolate Face

Put the butter, cream and melts into a saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth and shiny with no lumps (at least 5 minutes)
Pour into a clean bowl and refrigerate for approximately 20 minutes
Put the cookies back into the muffin tin to get ready for filling - this keeps then steady so the chocolate won't spill over the edges
After 20 minutes, stir and then heap each bikkie with a full teaspoon of the chocolate mixture
Refridgerate again for 20 minutes to set the chocolate

Step #3 - Becoming Rudolph!

Using kitchen scissors, cut a white marshmallow in half. Stick a jaffa into the sticky side (it should hold it in place) and place the smooth side of the marshmallow down towards the bottom of the chocolate cup, so as to leave room for eyes. I did this step while the chocolate was still setting, as it helps secure the marshmallow in place
Using the white frosting gel, make two eyes above the marshmallow nose and then use the black frosting gel to dot eyeballs in as well
Select two pretzels of similar size and gently press into the chocolate to secure the antlers.
Serve in the foil patty pans for a festive presentation!
Voila! Merry Christmas : )

Head Over Heels Appeal - For the children and families of flood affected Queensland

Inspired by a story on the Today Show this morning of a family of six children whose new school shoes were lost in the floods in Queensland, the Head over Heels Appeal was born. Most families get their children new school shoes at the start of the school year and I sent out an appeal for my group of school mums to see if they had their children's old school shoes available to be donated to this family and also to others in this particular town that was in the Today Show story. I went on to include school supplies in my appeal so that the kids would have new supplies to start the year. I also emailed our school principal, the Today Show, rang in some favours from some local newspaper contacts and sent out a few tweets to the lovely reporter who broke the story and what started as a little appeal for shoes has grown to include clothing, toys, manchester and first aid equipment, all of which my friends and their friends have so far offered up for donation. My husband and his mate had planned on taking an overnight road trip in his ute and trailer direct to this town so that the goods went straight to the family mentioned in the story and I am now looking at some bus options as the response has been overwhelming.
I am blown away by the generosity of my friends and their friends and I hope that we can now get alot more things to take to put smiles on the faces of these families again. The plan is to wait until the first week of February to head up north, as we would like to allow time for more donations to come in and also to give the families some space to clean up first, as this is their number one priority. Introducing Mimi! Born on 22 July, 2010! I have my little princess trifecta - Gigi + Lulu + Mimi

Without going into too much detail, I ended up having to have a caesarian (after two natural births) and boy oh boy, was that a shock to the system! A whole new world of firsts for this third time mum! Had a few feeding issues to start (no one told me that milk flow is a bit slower with caesarian births) and of course I wasn't up and at 'em as fast as I was the other two. Coupled with a hubby who was banned from the nursery for 2 days as he had a stomach virus, a concerned & emotional 5 year old and a robust 3 year old it was a hard ol' slog in hospital this time around. Once I was home, I felt much better - nothing like your own environment to relax and bond with baby.

Mimi is settling well - a very happy baby - but a night owl like mum - and yet to sleep through. She started off taking an occasional bottle (I am breastfeeding) however one day decided it wasn't for her. With solids starting, I am hoping a full belly will help with the waking in the night issue and I am going straight to a cup, having tried numerous teets, different bottles and trying & changing brands of formula when she didn't want expressed breast milk out of a bottle. This proved challenging for hubby when I had a night out in November - he ended up using the syringe you get for administering Infant Panadol to feed her 100mls, 2mls at a time! Besides this one night, Mimi & I have basically been inseparable and I think she is a real mummy's girl and just wants me and my booby juice ha ha. I am not complaining, in fact just quietly, I am savouring this baby time as I know she is my last.

My apologies for keeping you all in suspense for so long - three kids is definitely a handful, but I am loving it and though my blogs have been a little neglected, my new years resolution is to try and get back into the swing of things so thanks again for your patience - I have lots of baby fashions & accessories to catch up on and especially with my third little girl, I am searching more and more for all those beautiful things "sugar & spice" x

Inspired by some exceptional artwork I have been introduced to this week, I am creating a new section of my blog. Titled "Inside the Princess Boudoir", I will be featuring all sorts of lovely items for your little princesses' bedroom or nursery.

Now, as for that exceptional artwork I was talking about, every now and then I come across an artist who just blows me away with work that has such beautiful use of colour and, what I call, a picture that talks to me. I am no art expert but I judge art by how it makes me feel to look at and whether or not it tells me a different story each time I look at it. Casey O'Connell's stunning works do just that for me. When Casey contacted me, I immediately went to look at her website and I found myself checking out painting after painting. Each one so brilliantly unique and with such a lovely blend of colours. I was particularly drawn to My Sugar, especially as a nursery gift for a baby girl, as well as All In, both from Casey's current collection. I strongly urge you to browse through her website - I am sure you will enjoy and appreciate her wonderful talent as much as I did. Stride Rite have just launched a new collection - The Last Airbender - which was inspired by the movie of the same name, out today, written and directed by M Night Shyamalan, and based on the hugely successful Nickelodeon animated television series. Featuring three sneakers and a really cute mocassin boot, they are based on the three main characters in the movie - Aang & Zuko (boys collection) & Katara (girls sneaker & boot), and the related elements of "earth, wind, fire & air". It's that time of year again - all the big department stores here in Sydney (and I think, Australia wide) are having their big toy sales. I was brave enough today to venture into Big W, at 37 wks pregnant with a 5 and 3 year old in tow, to have a look at what they had and I was impressed. Gigi started school this year and is quite the little party girl. We have lots of parties coming up so I had lots of presents to buy and despite the hussle and bussle, long queues, screaming kids (ironically, not mine this time, surprise, surprise) and Gen Y shop assistants who would grunt at any question, I actually managed to get my shopping done without too much trouble. Hmm, my blood pressure was slightly up at my routine visit this afternoon so maybe I was a little more stressed than I am letting on...
But seriously, if you are in Sydney, Big W & KMart started their toy sales today, Myer started last week and finish up on the 25th July and Target is getting ready for its big sale starting July 22. I better place a call to Santa - in this time of global economic crisis, he will be looking for a bargain wherever he can get it. Wonder if Big W online delivers to the North Pole? : )

For those of you that live in Sydney, I have come across a gorgeous market - specialising in handmade children's goods - that is on this weekend. This Sunday, 26th June from 9am - 3pm, why not checkout Billy Cart Markets, situated in the Lakes Parish Hall, 21 Lagoon Street, Narrabeen. The handmade retailers that will be on hand have some beautiful wears and you can even go to their blog to get a more detailed look at what's on offer. The lovely part about this market, which caught my attention, was that the $2 entry fee goes to the Starlight Children's Foundation Australia. I have a pretty busy day but am hoping to go down and check it out for myself!

Lester Lampert Absolutely Precious Collection

Last January I referenced another blog and identified the gorgeous hand carved baby shoe charm bracelet that Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt gave to Brad's mother with their children's names sculptured (and not engraved) into the soles as being from Aaron Basha. Though the Aaron Basha charm bracelet is simply stunning, one of my readers (thanks Monica!) has advised me that the actual bracelet given to Mrs Pitt was from Chicago jewellery designer Lester Lampert's Absolutely Precious collection. Back in the mid-eighties, every Aussie teenage girl wanted to be Dannii Minogue.

With her big 80's teased hair, funky 80's fashions, singing and dancing up a storm on a Saturday night on Young Talent Time - who didn't want to be Dannii? My sister and I would copy the hair and fashion and sing along with the songs. When Dannii got a perm, we got a perm. If Dannii teased her fringe, we teased our fringes. If Dannii wore a braid, we wore a braid. Why, if Dannii jumped off the Harbour Bridge we would probably have given that a go too.

So now in my late thirties I find myself pregnant at the same time as Dannii - pretty much due around the same time. However, as I sit in my jim jams, feeling bloated & exhausted with bags under my eyes, I am a far cry from emulating 2010 Dannii, even if I tried. Voted this week as Who Magazine's Most Beautiful, deservedly so, Dannii is a perfect poster girl for how attractive a pregnant woman can be - even with the help of a stylist, a bit of lippie and a beautiful dress. Regardless, she looks absolutely fantastic. But then, all first time mum's are beautiful - they have that "glow" you always hear about in pregnancy books. Pregnancy is a beautiful thing - and don't get me wrong, take away all the yucky stuff, I love being pregnant - however I would like to see if Dannii feels just as beautiful after a couple of pregnancies. I must admit, the novelty does tend to wear off just a little. Let me elaborate....

Given that it is her first child (oh, and the fact that she is a super hot pop star!), she has the edge over me anyway because she only has herself to consider, and I do recall when I was pregnant with Gigi that I was all about pedicures and manicures and coffee with friends and running my own business - because it was all about me. I can say that unashamedly because it was fun having everyone make a big fuss over you. I bought all the pretty over sized clothes and dresses, had my hair done and wore lots of makeup. Hubby and I even went on one of those so called babymoons - a weekend away just for the parents-to-be, lots of pampering and massages and good food and quality couple time. Enjoy it while you can, I say, because the second time around, people are less fussed because they figure you have been there, done that, plus you have a cute little toddler to chase around after and it is all about them now. I had sold my business and was alot more casual in my approach to pregnancy - still wore the pretty, billowy dresses and wore a little bit of makeup but did less of the mummy pampering - had the odd pedicure and wore my hair in a ponytail 80% of the time because a trip to the hairdresser with a two year old was all too hard. As for a weekend away, meh, who had the time or the energy or the inclination.

Now I am heading towards the business end of pregnancy number 3 and it's basically just going through the motions this time around. I have a signature pair of loose, stretchy pants, several plain, longline tee shirts in bigger sizes, a range of scarves and a couple of layered cardis and that is pretty much it for me. I am down to a smidge of foundation (mainly to cover and fill wrinkles), but having said that, I always wear blush and lipstick as a rule. Depending on time or if I am in the mood to be bothered, all my other makeup is simply gathering dust in the cupboard. I went for a hair cut the other day and my hairdresser was shocked at how long it was - and funny, I can't remember when I last had a hair cut. You see, this time around we are talking ponytail 99% of the time..

Now don't get me wrong, frock me up, shave my legs, do my hair and makeup and send me to a ball and I would guarantee you I would have a good time and I would have that "pregnancy glow" but for now, I am more than happy to curl up on the lounge with my little chickadees, who love mummy just as she is, and leave the glamour shots to Dannii. But seriously, congratulations Dannii - you have worked hard and I am really happy that you will get to experience motherhood as it is really the best thing in the world and I am sure you will look just as fabulous next time around x

It's that time of year - Easter parade at school and time to construct that flamboyant monstrosity that we know as an Easter bonnet. I have fond memories of my mother & nonna creating wacky and way out creations for my school parade and had wondered how I would ever measure up when the time came for the baton to be passed to me and the responsibility now on my shoulders to come up with a work of art worthy of comparison. Luckily for me, Gigi's school likes to encourage the children's creativity and hence we only need to provide the materials and they are involved in the construction of their own hats. Phew, big sigh of relief. For those of you that have been lumbered with the task of DIY Easter bonnets, I have found some really cute websites and blogs to help you with some ideas. Whether you prefer layers of tulle and silk flowers, paper mache eggs and tiny yellow fluffy chickens, or more simply a paper plate tied with ribbon and decorated with pipe cleaners, left over Christmas tinsel and crepe paper, there is something for everyone at a cute little blog called Easter Bonnets on Parade. A trip down memory lane with Fisher Price - Little People 50th Birthday Play & Go Farm

When I came across this image of the 50th Birthday edition of the Fisher Price Farm house, I took a nostalgic trip down memory lane. Who doesn't remember this toy? My sister and I played with ours all the time until we were about 10 years old - no Nintendo or Wii back then! I remember loving to attach the trailer to the tracker and hooning around the lounge room. Or bridling up the horse to the trailer to drag the dog around. I distinctly remember the soft nose of the sheep and how I chewed mine like a dummy - I even strangely recall the taste of that soft rubber. Weird huh? My sister and I would dip the cow and the horse heads into the troughs to feed and I can still hear the sound of the cows as you opened the farm house doors. We used to sit the chicken and rooster on the posts of the fences and I think someone even broke off my farmer's hat. Both these little princesses look divine in this lavender hued dress with jewelled neckline and checked skirt, which was featured in the summer collection of Pumpkin Patch in Australia, unfortunately no longer available online. Gigi just loves this dress - it has a layer of black tulle under the skirt which gives it some flounce and it looks like Dannielynn Birkhead loves wearing hers as well. It is a shame her mummy, the late Anna Nicole Smith never got to see her in it but daddy Larry Birkhead looks as proud as punch!

Hello again everyone! Following my big announcement in January, I have been so busy preparing for the new baby, as well as doing the run around now that Gigi has started "big" school and Lulu has started ballet, and I do apologise for my self imposed little hiatus from my blog. Having said that, I have still been closely following all our favourite little celebrity princesses and the new trends in fashion, accessories, nursery furniture, maternity wear (ESPECIALLY maternity wear!) for 2010 and I look forward to getting back on track with things, starting today!

It is with great joy that I can announce that I am 13 weeks pregnant! Our much longed for third baby is due late July and we are so thrilled! It has been a very long, hard journey to get here as I have had alot of health complications in the past 3 years that have hindered our progress in getting pregnant but after 3 unsuccessful cycles of IUI, we took a break in October to consider our options and though I was told it would be very unlikely I would fall pregnant naturally, my little miracle happened and we did just that - finding out on my 39th birthday which was the best present ever! There will still be extra ultrasounds and tests required to ensure the safe arrival of our baby but in the meantime, I look forward to enjoying my pregnancy and sharing my experiences with you. I will be continuing with gigi+lulu but I am also creating a new blog - Baby, One More Time, which will be a diary of my pregnancy in my own words and I look forward to talking about my experiences with IVF/IUI, life after an abnormal pap smear and cone biopsy, the fun things that Gigi & Lulu say about my growing tummy and generally just documenting my experiences for my children to read one day. Once again, thank you for your ongoing support and I hope you enjoy my new blog as well x x x

As you can see, we have all been busy settling in to our new life on the farm. Gigi & Lulu just love wearing their new gumboots everywhere and can't wait until the arrival of our new dogs in the not too distant future. On top of completing a massive interior renovation of our little homestead, we had Gigi's birthday, moved house, had a week's vacation that had been planned a year ago (ie before we knew it would fall on the same week we were moving house!) and at the same time I have been undergoing some fertility treatments in the hope of conceiving baby #3. PHEW! Stop and breathe! As you can appreciate, I have hardly had time to keep up with my blog so I apologize for the few postings of late. I apologise for the minimal posting of late - I am finally back online tonight as we have just moved to our beautiful new farm and I have spent the last week packing and unpacking boxes, cleaning the new house, organising tradesmen and adjusting the girls to their new schedule. It is safe to say we all love it out here - it is so peaceful and pretty. It sounds so cliched but we are awoken every morning by a family of kookaburras - so very Australian! Speaking of all things Australian, I have been catching up on all things Suri from my friend Vania's website Suri Cruise Italia and it appears that Katie & Suri spent alot of time during their stay here in Australia shopping up big with some of our wonderful local children's labels. This week in Boston Suri has been seen in seed (of which the Cruise's are big fans, having several pieces from their collection), Polka (I love all their prints!) & Mini Metalicus (who have a fabulous women's label as well). Thanks everyone for the emails - I haven't been as consistent with my posts of late as we are renovating a new house which we hope to be moving into in a few weeks - sooooo excited! But in the meantime, we also managed to throw a farewell to the old house/birthday party for Gigi over the weekend - she wanted a Bratz Disco Party (which ended up being all about Hannah Montana anyway!) and here is a little picture of the girls at their dress rehearsal. Once we are settled into the new place, I will post all the details of the party as it is a popular theme for little wannabe rockstars! Sick of the boring tent dresses that you see in maternity boutiques? Yes, you know the ones - those that could house a three ring circus underneath in colours so blah, you would blend in on a rainy day? My policy was simple when I was heavily pregnant during the warmer months - NO TENT DRESSES! Instead, I was a big fan of the babydoll dress, as well as strapless, elasticized dresses that grew with my tummy. In particular I had a hot pink Charlie Brown strapless dress that I practically lived in. Heirloom Christening Dresses - a continuing trend

I was reading in the newspaper this week the lovely story behind the christening dress worn by Bert & Patti Newton's granddaughter Eva Eunice Welsh, baby daughter of Lauren Newton and her husband, Olympic swimming champion Matthew Welsh. The dress the three month old little princess was christened in was worn by her mummy 30 years ago and was sent in to Bert & Patti by a listener of their radio show back then. Patti loved the dress so much she dressed Lauren in it and now little Eva continues the tradition. I think this is a lovely story and wanted to share ours with you as well. Gigi was christened in the summer months wearing an embroidered christening gown made by me for my Year 10 major assignment when I was just 16 years old. I remember vividly embroidering the green and gold flowers wondering if my future baby boy or girl may wear this dress one day. It was a proud day to see little Gigi wearing it, I must say. Alternatively, baby Lulu was christened in the winter months and she wore a knitted christening gown that I wore as a baby and the dainty lace bonnet was given to me by my grandmother many years ago when we were going through some old fabrics and lace tablecloths and I fell in love with it. Needless to say my mum was chuffed on both occasions. Both my little girls' dresses were of sentimental value to me and I would say Patti & Lauren felt the same on little Eva's christening day

I am a big fan of this designer - 3.1 Phillip Lim has some beautiful looks in his Spring 2009 collection at Barneys New York. They don't stock the Tank Dress with Lace in Sand at Barneys, but you can see it on the 3.1 Phillip Lim website - a gorgeous, simplistic little dress in a neutral colour for your little princess. And I also love the Hooded Rain Slicker in Navy - looks like a mini version of a grown up trench coat. So many fashions, so little time : )

Now you know I am always on the look out for beautiful little fashions and accessories for little princesses, but in this case I have found some cool stuff for beautiful little rock princesses! Coco is wearing the Jeeto Band T (currently only available in Black) but you can get the pink version for your mini groupies in a Jeeto Band Onesie. I must admit, I have not come across this label before - they have been around since March 2008 and are based in South Australia but I recommend you check out their website - they have some really cute separates and I particularly love their peacoats.

So many dresses, so little time! A week ago I had never before seen these gorgeous little Spanish royal sisters and here they are again in another delightful little dress. Infanta Leonor & Infanta Sophia of Spain are seen here at a sailing event in Palma wearing a white waffle weave sundress with a lace ribbon trim and lilac satin bow. They are wearing the same little sandals they were wearing last week with their hot pink sundresses. I have had a lovely weekend in Melbourne with my husband, allowing Gigi & Lulu some time with their grandparents and aunty. We went to see Jersey Boys on Saturday night and all I can say is :

OH WHAT A NIGHT!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons (almost as much as I love red shoes!) and the show did not disappoint, in fact it was outstanding.

On high rotation on my Ipod and in the car, I picked up the Jersey Kids CD for my girls to sing along to - it is a sweet instrumental of the most popular songs especially for little Four Seasons groupies.

When we got back I went to the Jersey Boys blog to have a read through and look who I found is also a fan...our favourite little celebrity princess Suri, who was given a copy of the CD by Bailee Madison, Katie's co-star in the movie she is making here in Australia. Being in the same city as Suri was exciting, though I doubted I would bump into her (or her daddy who flew into town the same day we did). So though there was no Suri sighting to report, I did have a lovely weekend (took in Sydney Swan Michael O'Loughlin's 300th AFL game at the MCG as well which was great), and look forward to finding more beautiful little girls things to share with you all : )

What a delightful little dress! My blog was inspired by my two little girls and the quest to find beautiful and unique fashions, accessories, furnishings, gifts, party ideas etc for little princesses. It evolved into following celebrity baby styles and I love to see what the little girls of our favourite celebrities are wearing and where I can get those fashions.

I rarely go off topic but I wanted to express my sadness at the passing of the wonderful Michael Jackson, in my eyes the greatest performer I have ever been lucky enough to have seen live in concert. I sat up to watch the memorial this morning live (3.30am my time) and found the service moving and respectful, joyous yet sombre and of course, like all the mums I have spoken to today, my heart broke when Michael's beautiful little girl gave her heart breaking few words about her daddy.

Paris Michael Katherine was very courageous to want to speak to a world which up until now had barely seen, let alone heard from her before. My first thought as a mum was "please, don't make her do this" until I realised that she obviously felt that it was important for her to speak out, not only to express her love for her father but to show the world that we not only lost a music icon but a loving family has lost a son, a brother and so tragically a wonderful father of three young children.

I thought all three children were appropriately dressed and the whole family, though grieving for Michael, were all stoic and proud and I loved that all the men had matching ties and the signature glove. It was reported by some media outlets that Janet Jackson had asked family friend Donatella Versace to dress the whole family - the Jackson brothers, Janet, LaToya & Michael's mother Katherine, as well as his children.

Paris showed great strength and though the family now needs to be left alone to grieve, I really hope we see more of Michael's daughter in the future, and not for the wrong reasons ie custody battles or more horribles stories and rumours regarding her father. I heard one friend of Michael's today was quoted as saying at least Michael can now finally be remembered first and foremost for his musical accomplishments and not just as some freak, as we so often heard him referred to by certain media outlets.

As for me, my personal admiration for Michael began the day after I turned 17 and went to my first Michael Jackson concert, his Sydney concert for the BAD tour. I was in the front row, having lined up all day for the privilege and to this day I maintain it was the best concert I have ever been to (and I have been to many). It was only a few weeks ago that I was discussing with my sister that I had hoped Michael would include Australia on his "This is It" Tour and that I would be there no matter what the cost. Sadly, that will never be but I feel privileged to have seen Michael just once and his music has always been, and will continue to be, my dance floor staple and more so now, when I go somewhere and a Michael song comes on, I will be the first one on my feet.

So even though I will never get an encore performance, Michael, you were a true musical genius and we will all miss you. May God bless your children and may you rest in peace x x x

Taronga Zoo's newest addition - It's a boy! And he is no small fry!

Soooooooooooooo cute! Here is the newest addition to the elephant family at Sydney's Taronga Zoo. The as yet unnamed baby elephant was born on the 4th July, the first baby elephant born in an Australian zoo, part of the breeding programme that commenced with 5 elephants being brought to Australia, including mum Thong Dee, from Thailand in 2006. Wearing her cute animal print ballet flats by JCrew Crewcuts, which she has worn a few times in recent months, delightful little Suri accompanied mummy & daddy to see the Melbourne production of the Jersey Boys last night. Suri was also wearing another gorgeous little red jewelled dress (watch this space for details). My husband and I are going to see the show later in the year since we didn't get the chance in Las Vegas in January and we can't wait. Maybe when Katie catches up with my blog, she might leave me a review in the comments section : )
PS: That was one lovely big woolie jacket you had on Katie - we know it is very cold in Melbourne this time of year but are you hiding something under there? A little baby bump maybe? We hope so ; )

Enjoying an impromptu trip to the Melbourne Aquarium, Suri Cruise held on to her daddy as a local mum took this tourist snap, beating the paparazzi to the punch! There were also reports that Suri and Tom went on a shopping trip without Katie this afternoon and bought a slow cooker at the Myer department store. I hope Tom bought Suri some gorgeous dresses by some of our fantastic local designers...watch this space : )
UPDATE - 3rd July 2009 - not only did Suri go to the aquarium, she took in a tree kangaroo at the zoo and on their shopping trip, daddy bought his little girl a toy kangaroo AND....wait for it..."two sequinned frocks". Maybe Suri will wear one out to dinner tonight to celebrate daddy's 47th birthday - Happy Birthday Tom!
UPDATE #2 - (Thanks Vania x ) - the dresses Tom bought were from the Big by Fiona Scanlan range, which we have talked about a few times in the past. Could it have been the Sequin 20's Dress? Suri Watch Down Under! The Cruises arrive in Australia

Here is our first glimpse of Suri on Australian soil - she touched down with her parents at Essendon Airport in Melbourne and it has been reported the family is staying at pal James Packer's penthouse at Crown Towers. We can't wait to see Suri out and about with her mummy & daddy and hopefully in some Australian designer children's labels. Katie is filming a movie here in Australia so hopefully we will see alot of Suri during their stay : )
